1. Betting Rules
1.1 Meridian Gaming (CY) Ltd (hereinafter “Meridianbet”/ Company) reserves the right to change, amend or make additions to these rules, as it deems appropriate following their prior approval by the National Betting Authority of Cyprus.
1.2 The customer may be deemed to have accepted the new rules by placing a bet on Meridian Gaming (CY) Ltd only if he has been notified of any changes, modifications or additions.
2. Age restrictions
2.1 Meridianbet only accepts bets from customers aged over 18 (eighteen) years old. It is maintained the right to cancel all transactions with minors or offenders.
2.2 In cases that the recipient finds that an account holder is under 18 (eighteen) years old, then he/she must take all necessary measures so that the account is permanently blocked, all winnings, bonuses and free bets as well and winnings resulting from bonuses and free bets will be void.
3. Placing bets
3.1 A bet will be void if not transmitted in full.
3.2 A series of bets can be considered as one when the customer/player places multiple copies of the same bet. Meridianbet reserves the right to void bets where there may be evidence of collusion between two or more clients.
3.3 Meridianbet reserves the right to refuse any bet or part of a bet.
3.4 The minimum bet is 0.5 euro.
3.5 When a customer/player fails to give an exact description of the bet (See the bet with Empty Bet Online), Meridianbet reserves the right to reject the bet.
3.6 Multiple bets are accepted, but no such bet can be accepted where the effect of one part affects the outcome of the other (see Rule 6 Related Bets).
3.7 All prices are subject to fluctuation and are fixed by the time the bet is placed by customer.
3.8 Bets will be accepted until the advertised start time. If a bet is accepted in error which includes an event after its start time, Meridianbet reserves the right to cancel any bets received.
3.09 The value of Handicap is always added to the teams/players.
3.10 Maximum Payout per ticket is 12,000 Euro for all tickets which contain the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, Primera Division, France Ligue 1, Champions League and Europa League, and if a ticket contains at least one different from any other Championship and Sport event, the maximum payout is 5000 euro.
3.11 In the case of football betting, a bet on the results of matches with Cypriot teams either on the territory of Cyprus or abroad is allowed only when combined with the results of at least three groups from abroad. The same is valid and for betting on the results of the matches held with the National Football Team of Cyprus. (The Collective Bets (Regulation and Tax) Law of 1997), Regulations under Article 13 paragraph 22). In the event that the existing National Betting Authority’s Regulation is repealed, this Regulation will be repealed.
3.12 In the event of a reasonable doubt and/or evidence giving rise to a manipulated sports event and/or match rigging, Meridianbet reserves the right to prevent/suspend betting on the subject match and report the findings to competent authorities, including, but not limited to, responsible worldwide, continental and national sports governing bodies and international betting integrity trade associations.
To this end, in case of the disputed integrity of the match and match manipulation, Meridianbet is entitled to withhold the pay-out in order to inspect all the relevant facts and findings, until the final decision by the competent bodies.
Evidence for qualifying any occurrence as one of the scenarios described above will be based on some/all elements of the following: bet patterns, frequency, volume and the existence of syndicate (associated) betting and/or irregular betting, breach of applicable national and/or international rules regulating the match integrity.
Further, in any instances where Meridianbet findings on compromised match integrity are confirmed by the decisions/judgements of the relevant sport governing bodies/courts rendered on this matter, Meridianbet withholds the right to, in its absolute discretion, suspend any bets placed on such events, either by any individual identified by these bodies/courts or by any other individual who, in the reasonable opinion of Meridianbet, is connected to, acting in conjunction with or in any way involved with such individual.
4. Obvious Mistake
4.1 Meridianbet can not be responsible for any typing or human error in the odds offered than proposed. If this happens, Meridianbet reserves the right to either void any affected bets or to correct the error.
An Obvious Mistake occurs when prices are (a) substantially different from those available in the general market at the time the bet was placed or (b) clearly incorrect given the probability of the event occurring the bet was accepted.
5. Bet Settlement
5.1 All winning bets will be settled at the prices indicated on Meridianbet at the time the bet was accepted. These do not include the obvious mistakes * or any post-game disagreement by any team that alters the final outcome of a game at a later point. It is noted that in the event of an obvious error, the winning tickets will be settled with the correct prices.
5.2 A number of circumstances may arise when a bet is accepted, or a payment is made, by Meridianbet in error. A non-exhaustive list of such circumstances is as follows:
5.2.1 Where we wrongly make any odds or terms of a bet or of a customer as a result of an obvious error in the registration of information or market setup, or as a result of a computer malfunction.
* Each odd which deviate from the average market odds at the time of playing will be paid at the maximum odds of the market, instead of the wrong on the ticket. The customers will be informed of the reasons and the changes.
Example: There are two options to win the Champions League between Juventus - Real Madrid. In our offer the prices will be, win for Real Madrid with odds of 2,00 and win for Juventus with a return of 1,85. The odds are binding. In this case, it is obvious that the odds have to be reversed.
5.2.2 An Obvious Error occurs where prices are (i) materially different from those available in the daily offer and leaflets at the time the bet was made; or (ii) clearly incorrect given the chance of the event occurring at the time the bet was made.**
Example: In a basketball match, the limit of points of team A and B was 172,5. As the match progresses, the limits increase and a correction is required to 174,5. Ηowever, due to an obvious error, the system offers 147,5.
5.2.2.1 in relation to bets placed before an event occurs, the odds/conditions offered differ substantially from those placed on the general market; or.
5.2.2.2 In relation to any event, odds/terms offered at the time of the betting are completely wrong on the occasion of the event occurring at the time the bet was made.
** An obvious mistake could be a wrong information published in connection with an event. For example, a handicap is set incorrectly (reversed), wrong team/teams/participants, incorrect deadlines or technical errors etc.
6. Related Bets
6.1 Multiple bets that combine different selections for the same event are not accepted where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.
For example, in a football match, Manchester United is involved, both options can be: Manchester United to win with score 2-0 and Wayne Rooney to be the scorer of the first goal of the match for Manchester United.
Bets are related as Wayne Rooney's performance on the score will affect Manchester United's 2-0 winning outcome. A double combination of the above options is not possible using their purchase prices.
Special Odds may be offered for combined probability. When a special odd is unavailable and such a bet is accepted by mistake, it will be paid as two single bets with the staked amount divided equally.
6.2 Multiple bets that combine selections that are resolved at different times but still within the same tournament. These bets will be paid as indicated by the performance of the second or the next selection being set at a separate level.
For example, in a Tennis tournament, two selections may be: Roger Federer to win the Wimbledon semifinal and immediately Roger Federer to become the Wimbledon tournament winner.
As the odds of the second option depend on the outcome of the first, Roger Federer's odds to the tournament at the time the bet was accepted cannot be used to calculate the double. The correct odds after the initial selection has been completed will be attributed instead.
6.3 Multiple bets that combine selections within different events where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.
6.4 In the case of all multiples including selections with related results if a bet is made unintentionally, Meridianbet reserves the right to void the bet.
7. Bets Ante Post (Bets in advance)
7.1 Bets in advance are those that are played with odds of specific selections for an event before it starts. Bets are accepted by all means, whether running or not, whether registered or not, which means that if the customer's choice does not participate in the event, the bet is lost unless the rules of Meridianbet for a separate sport define otherwise.
8. Odds Fluctuations
8.1 All odds are subject to constantly changes without notice.
9. Acceptance Time
9.1 All bets selected with odd before the match which are defined by Meridianbet, they will be accepted until the start time of the match displayed on the offer list. If a bet that includes a match that has already started and no prizes offered ongoing (in Play) and accepted, this option will be canceled.
If we offer prizes ongoing (in Play) of the match, the selection will be accepted at the current odd referred.
10. Abandoned/Postponed/Deferred(relocated) Games
10.1 Case of Postponed/Interrupted match in ALL sports except the Tennis
Postponed:
All bets will be void in the matches that are postponed/rearranged, unless the match is rescheduled to be played within 48 hours of the original starting time and general fulfilled betting rule applies.
Interrupted:
In case that a match is interrupted and is not be played within 48 hours of the original starting time, all bets on markets whose outcome has not been judged will be void. In cases where the outcome of the event has already been judged by the result, it cannot be cancelled.
Tennis:
If a tennis player retires before the beginning of the match, all bets will be cancelled.
If a tennis player retires after the beginning of the match, general betting rule applies, ie the general rule of interruption (In case that a match is interrupted and is not be played within 48 hours of the original starting time, all bets on markets whose outcome has not been judged will be void. In cases where the outcome of the event has already been judged by the result, it cannot be cancelled).
In the event of a delay in the match, the final result is expected if the match is not abandoned or cancelled.
In case of exclusion of the tennis player, the result in the tournament is considered to be valid, and all the bets are valid regardless of the tennis player participation in the tournament.
If official data for specific results are unavailable 48 hours after the match ends, bets are void and stake is returned.
11. Ongoing (In Play)
11.1 A) In the case that a game starts but it is cancelled due to a failure resulting from the recipient's system or resulting from a network error or the possibility of a Meridianbet system failure, Meridianbet will have to return the bet amount to specific game to the customer/player.
B) It is noted that a player who has bet a ticket, which has been validated before any damage to the recipient’s system, then this ticket must be arranged accordingly. If there is no further activity on an event in which In Play has been accepted, these bets will be void unless otherwise specified in the rules of the particular sport.
C) If the player's participation in a game is interrupted after he has bet, due to a failure of the telecommunications systems or due to failure of the computer staff, the player after the system restoration can be informed about the progress and outcome of the game/event on his account pages and, in case he/she won, the amount must be credited directly to his/her own account.

Half Time or Full time - The customer places bet on the result at the end of the half time or the result at the end of the match

IX*X – Draw in the half time or draw in the end of the match

Half Time/ Full Time - The customer places bet on the outcome at the end of the first half and the outcome at the end of the match

Handicap – The customer predicts the winner of the match at the end of the regular time and after the final score has been adjusted to the handicap (advantage given to a team). The game is calculated in following way: In the scored total goals of home team, handicap is added or deducted (it is deducted if there is handicap with mark “–” (minus) in the ticket).
Three-way Handicap
H1 – Home team to win after handicap has been included
HX – Draw after handicap has been included
H2 – Away team to win after handicap has been included
Two-way Handicap
H1 – Home team to win after handicap has been included
H2 – Away team to win after handicap has been included
In case of a draw, stake is returned
Totals - The customer places bet on whether total number of Goals/ Points/ Sets/ Games/ Touchdowns/ Yards/ Tries/ Innings/ Runouts/ Cards/ Corners/ Penalties/ Maps/ Kills… will be over or under certain preset margin

Even/ odd - The customer places bet on whether the total number of goals/ points in the match will be even or odd (final result 0:0 is considered to be even number of goals/ points)
Half with more goals/ points - The customer places bet on half with more goals
I> – More goals/ points are scored in the first half than in the second half

I=II – Same number of goals/ points is scored in both halves or the exact score of the match is 0:0
Double/ Multiple bet - The customer places bet on two or more bets simultaneously (at the same time)
Example: 1&-P - The customer places bet on home team win & < points.
First team to score – The customer places bet on the team to score the first goal/ point in the match
Score 1st goal – Home team scores first goal/point
Score 2nd goal – Away team scores first goal/point
If game ends 0:0 all bets are not-winning
Correct score - The customer places bet on the exact final score at the end of the match
Halves - The customer places bet on how many halves the team will score more goals than the other team in the regular time (in how many halves the team will win)
H0 – Home team wins no halves
H1+ – Home team wins at least one half time
H1 – Home team wins exactly one half time. The bet loses if home team wins in both halves
H2 – Home team wins in both halves
A0 – Away team wins no halves
A1+ – Away team wins at least one half time
A1 – Away team wins exactly one half. The bet loses if home team wins in both halves
A2 – Away team wins in both halves
Winner – The customer places bet on the result of the match including extra time

Dead Heat - Draw between two or more players/ competitors. (Dead Heat is calculated by dividing the stake proportionally between the number of winners in the event)

Penalty saves - The customer places bet on goalkeeper to have the highest number of penalty saves
MVP - The customer places bet on officially announced Most Valuable Player in competition
Final Pair - The customer places bet on Final Pair of competition
Top Goalscorer - The customer places bet on player who will score the most goals during a competition. If two or more players score the same number of goals, Dead Heat rule applies.
Top Assistant - The customer places bet on player who will make the most assists during a competition. If two or more players make the same number of assists, Dead Heat rule applies.
Top Team Goalscorer - The customer places bet on player who will score the most goals in a team during a competition. If two or more players score the same number of goals, Dead Heat rule applies.
Total 0:0 matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with no goals
Total 3+ matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with 3 or more goals scored
Total 0-2 matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with less than 3 goals scored
Total 4+ matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with 4 or more goals scored
Total 5+ matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with 5 or more goals scored
Total 6+ matches - The customer places bet on total number of matches to end with 6 or more goals scored
Total Penalty kicks in phase (Group phase/ eight-final/ semi-final/ semi-final/ final) - The customer places bet on total number of penalty kicks in phase. (Winning penalties shoot-out in extra time and in the penalty procedure do not count)
Total scored group penalties - The customer places bet on total number of scored penalty kicks in group. (Winning penalties shoot-out in extra time and in the penalty procedure do not count)
Total missed group penalties - The customer places on total number of missed penalty kicks in group. (Winning penalties shoot-out in extra time and in the penalty procedure do not count)
Duel - The customer places bet on duel (teams/ players/ drivers/ racer/ corners/ penalties/ red cards/ yellow cards/ goalscorers). Duel is achievement comparison of two given subjects. Winner is the subject with better score/ achievement.
If both teams are eliminated in same phase, the following is taken into account:
If the achievement of both subjects is equal, Dead Heat rule applies
Duel penalties do not consider possible extra time
Elimination/ exclusion after penalty kicks - The customer places bet on whether the team will be eliminated after penalty kicks
First Corner in final match - The customer places bet on team to take First Corner kick in final match
Kick-off - The customer places bet on the team to take kick-off
First winner - The customer places bet on the team to be the first time winner of a competition
Goalkeeper to score - The customer places bet on any goalkeeper to score. (Penalty goals do not count)
Football player to score from own half of the pitch - The customer places bet on Football player to score from own half of the pitch
Final match referee - The customer places bet on the name of the Final match referee
General Rules
Outrights/ Antepost Betting
Outrights are those types of bets whose outcome is determined at the end of a championship or at the end of a particular stage of a championship or event, irrespective of the sport. Outright bets are settled at the end of the current season / year and concern both team sports and individual sports.
Winner - Placement 1: The customer predicts which team will finish in the first place or win the title with the completion of a championship or event, which athlete will win the Gold Medal in an event etc.
Placement 1, 2, 3, 4 ...: The customer predicts the correct position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc) that a team or an athlete will finish upon the completion of a championship or tournament or at the end of a particular stage of a championship or event as defined by the organizing federation / country of the championship or the event.
Placement 1-3: The customer predicts whether a team or an athlete will finish in one of the first three positions (1, 2, 3) upon the completion of a championship or at the end of a particular stage of a championship or event as defined by the organizing federation / country of the championship or the event.
Placement 1-10: The customer predicts whether a team or an athlete will finish in one of the first ten positions (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10) upon completion of a championship or event or at the end of a specific stage of a Championship or Event as defined by the organizing Federation / Country of the Championship or Event.
Promotion: The customer predicts whether a team will be promoted to a category that is higher in the hierarchy of a country's championship system.
Relegation: The customer predicts whether a team will be relegated to a category that is lower in the hierarchy of a country's championship system.
MVP (Most Valuable Player): The customer predicts the most valuable player/athlete as he/she will be awarded and officially announced by the official federation / country organization of the championship or tournament with the completion of a championship or event or at the end of a particular stage of a championship or event as defined by the organizing federation / country of the championship or the event.
Rookie of the Year: The customer predicts the best new (rookie) player/athlete as he/she will be awarded and officially announced by the official federation / country of the championship or tournament, with the completion of a championship or event or at the end of a particular stage of a championship or event as defined by the organizing federation / country of the championship or the event.
First Round Leader: The customer predicts which team will finish in the first place at the end of the first round of the championship or the event as defined by the organizing Federation / Country of the championship or the event.
Title Holder: The customer predicts which team will win a specific title (league, cup, etc.) on a specific date.
Total Season Wins: The customer predicts the total number of wins of a particular team at the end of the championship or the event.
Total Season Points: The customer predicts the total number of points of a particular team at the end of the championship or the event.
To Reach Final: The customer predicts which team will participate in the final game of a championship or an event.
To Reach Semifinal: The customer predicts which team will be participating in the semi-final of a championship or an event.
To Reach Play Off: The customer predicts which team will participate in the Play Off Phase of a Championship or Event as defined by the organizing Federation / Country of the championship or the event.
Top Goalscorer: The customer predicts which player will be the top scorer after completing a championship or tournament. Own goals will not count towards the player's total number of goals. If two or more players have scored the same number of goals, then the Dead Heat Rule will be applied.
Dead Heat Rule - If a customer bets on Player or Team A but there is a draw with Player or Team B, he/she will get paid on full odds, but the stake will be split between the number of players or Teams who drew. So, the stake will be split in 2. If 3 players draw, the stake will be split in 3, etc.

10 min X – Draw, both teams to score the same number of goals or no goals in period

TIME OF THE FIRST GOAL – The customer predicts if the first goal of the match will be scored before or after a specific time. If no goals are scored in the match, all bets lose, or the Player predicts if the first goal of the match will be scored in a certain period of time (the period of time includes the proposed minutes, eg 0-10 minutes if a team scores on this time, the bet wins). If no goals are scored in that time, all bets lose.

In all games involving minutes, the following rules apply:

The end of the first half is counted as 45th minute regardless its duration.
Beginning of the second half time is counted as 46th minute regardless the duration of the first half time.
The end of the match is counted as 90th minute regardless its duration.
TIME OF THE FIRST GOAL IN 2ND HALF – The customer predicts if the first goal in the second half will be scored, before or after a specific time. If no goals are scored in the match, all bets lose.

TOTAL CARDS – The customer predicts the total number of cards
For all games related to total cards, the following rules apply:
Cards which are given to the players regardless they are in the game or not, are counted.
Cards which are given to the coach or to official team persons who are not players are not counted.
Cards which are given after referee whistles the end of the game, are not counted.
Direct red card counts just as one red card.
The second yellow card which is given to the same player, is counted as yellow and red card at the same time.
Two yellow cards counts like two yellow cards and one red card.

Yellow cards – The customer places bet on the number of yellow cards
First yellow card in the match – The customer places bet on which team will get the first yellow card in the match. In case of the yellow card is given to both teams at the same time, the bets are void
Red card – The customer places bet on the number of red cards (example: yes, one or more red cards)
Penalty – The customer places bet on the number of penalties (example: yes, one or more penalties).
TEAM TO QUALIFY – The player predicts which team will qualify in the next round of the event, in which the match is included.
Total Goals of a Championship - The Player predicts the total number of goals in a certain number of matches over a period of time. In case of a delay or cancellation of a match, it is considered that the teams score exactly two goals in the match. In the event of a delay or cancellation of two or more matches, the bet is invalid and the bet is returned
GOALSCORERS – The customer predicts the number of goals which certain player will score in the next game:
1+ - Selected player scores at least one goal in the match
2+ - Selected player scores at least two goals in the match
3+ - Selected player scores at least three goals (hat trick) in the match
0 - Selected player does not score in the match
FG - Selected player scores the first goal in the match

If the player does not appear in the match, all bets on him are settled as void
It is considered that the player took part in the match, if he plays at least one second in the game

The decision for the duration of the match by the organizer immediately before the start of the match or the decision of the referee during the match to state that the match was completed before the end of the 90th minute is valid.
Football Futsal (Futsal)
All bets on Futsal football matches are based on the score at the end of the 40th Minute of the Match unless otherwise stated or if the bet has already been settled. Extension and Penalty Executions do not count.
WINNER - Winning bets must predict the winner of a match.

Postponed:

FINAL RESULT – The customer predicts the team to score more points at the end of the regular time of the match (48 minutes for NBA and 40 minutes for other basketball leagues):

In the event of draw at the end of the regular time, the winner is the team which wins at the end of extra time.
TEAM POINTS (Home team, Away team) – The customer predicts the team will score more or less points of pre-specified limits during the regular time of the match, or at some period in the match (half time, quarter).
<under - Bet is winning if the team scores less points than the specified limit in the regular time of the match
If the team reached exactly to the points of the specified limit, all bets will be void.

DRAW - In case that basketball match is finished with a draw and extra time is not played, the bets for Winners and related bets with «Winners» are cancelled and stake is returned (example: Winner, Winner&O/U etc..)

All bets will be void in the matches that are postponed/rearranged, unless the match is rescheduled to be played within 48 hours of the original starting time and general fulfilled betting rule applies.
Interrupted:
In case that a match is interrupted and is not be played within 48 hours of the original starting time, all bets on markets whose outcome has not been judged will be void. In cases where the outcome of the event has already been judged by the result, it cannot be cancelled.
GOLF
Outrights/ Antepost Betting on players who are either not qualified or do not play in the tournament for any reason will be void.
SNOOKER
All winning bets will be settled at the Meridianbet prices at the time the bet was accepted.
This does not include any post-game controversy by any player that changes the final result of a match at a later point.
WINNER - Winning bets must predict the winner of a match.

Empty Bet is a function on Meridianbet website which allows our customers to place custom-made bet.
Customer can create bet with any measurable event and he will get related price.

After pressing the Empty Bet button, customer will get the two (2) input fields:

When the description is completed, customer needs to press SUBMIT button in order to add custom-made bet on his Ticket.
Next step is to submit the ticket.
Ticket will be send to our HQ traders; they will be able to see the description.
If the bet is defined correctly, the price will be added.
If customer thinks that price is fair, he will accept the bet.
Otherwise, he can reject the offered price.
Note:
Recipient will return the bet to the customer with odd in two (2) minutes period. Customer has 30 seconds to accept the bet; if he exceeds that time, the bet will be automatically rejected.
This option is configurable for the entire website, or for the single player.
If customer did not enter exact description of the bet, HQ operators will reject the bet. If the bet is properly defined, the recipient will provide the odd for the bet.
Betting is the object of a bet between the recipient and customers. No third party is included. All general rules from Meridianbet are applied under this provision.
